Jersey on Netflix: Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur starrer Jersey was released last month on April 22, 2022. The film got a good response from the critics. It is a remake of South's film Jersey. In the original film, Nani played the role of a cricketer and the same role was played by Shahid Kapoor here. Both jerseys were directed by Gautam Tinnauri.
However, this film got swept away in the storm of KGF 2. The film did not get much love in theaters and now this film is ready to come on OTT. Netflix has shared a post on Instagram and has told that Jersey will be released on this OTT platform on May 20.
This was Shahid's next film after the tremendous success of Kabir Singh but the audience did not give him as much love as before. However, some glimpses of him were also seen in the film like Kabir Singh. Let us tell you that he had signed this film before Kabir Singh.
What is the story of the film?
The film tells the story of a cricketer who leaves cricket after a while and starts spending time with his family. But after coming at a time, he loses his job and after that, there is not even 500 rupees to give to his child on his birthday. He has to stumble from rate to rate for this much money, still, he does not get it.
Then he decides that he will become a cricketer again. While he is getting the job of cricket coach. But he doesn't do it. While repeating his truth again, Shahid's character gets selected for the Ranji Trophy and it will be better if you watch the film for whether he finally reaches Team India or not. Because the suspense in the film is very good and the film will make you emotional in the end.
